EDL 900

So good news to all of our readers: For my EDL 900 class I will be posting my assignments throughout this next semester. You will have the opportunity to read some of the papers I am writing for class. I hope you enjoy. If you don't, no worries neither will my classmates (who have to read them)!!!! I hope you enjoy hearing my thoughts on leadership. Please feel free to leave your thoughts as well.

Grace and peace,
Wylie

unplanned blogging break

I'll be taking a blogging break for the rest of the week as we are currently cameraless, having left said camera at my parents' place... on the boat... overnight... praise the Lord for no rain!!

In Lydda Grace news....

Yesterday Lydda Grace was giving me lots of high-fives (this is pretty new). She smiles and laughs every time she hits my hand. I laid down on the floor and threw my arm off to the side, she crawled over, picked up my hand and started high-fiving again!

how old?

She was doing great with this... until we pulled out the camera.

Finally..........

crochet disaster

I found a pattern for a cute kimono sweater to crochet and decided to make one for Lydda Grace. At one point I was working on it and told Jon I had, "no idea what part of the sweater this is supposed to be!" That should have been the first clue.

Thankfully I was just using random leftover yarn from other projects. It is WAY too big and the armholes actually fit me! (yes I tried it on).

I am going to try again with more leftover yarn... it has to be better than this.....

update

Wow! I have been bad about posting lately!

Jon has been conducting training for the RDs and RAs the past three weeks, so Lydda Grace and I have been having lots of time with just the two of us. Move-in is this weekend though so we can't wait to have Daddy home at night!

Lydda Grace and I went to Chapin for a few days this past week. Here she is with Gran and Grandpa learning to blow kisses! She is getting the hang of it. I'm also trying to teach her to hold up one finger to say she is one year old and I think we're going to start working on the high five soon. While we were in Chapin we also got her to clap to "If You're Happy and you Know it," She actually claps at the right time!!

first birthday

Lydda Grace had a fun first birthday weekend! Friday was her actual birthday and Jon had to work all day so we went to Chick-fil-a for breakfast (and to play on the playground). Lydda Grace and I had a nice time just playing at home and going to the library.

Sunday we had our family all in town for a birthday lunch. Lydda Grace definitely loved being the center of attention and enjoyed eating a cupcake and opening presents.
