6th Anniversary (2090 days)!

Dear Lydda Grace and Wade along with any other children that our Father might bless us with:

On this, 2090 days of being married to your mother, Emily Moore Wylie, I want to challenge you to remember a couple of things about LOVE.  Our heavenly Father has given yall an awesome example of love through your mother.

1.      First and foremost, Love is a choice. Love is not based on feelings or circumstances.  Miss Mama does not love you because you have beautiful eyes, or beautiful hair, or you have obeyed her.  She loves you period.
2.      Remember her smile.
3.      Last but not least and should probably be first.  God first loved her and now she is spreading that love towards yall.

Emily, for the last six years + 287 days (this is how many days we were engaged) you have shown me how much you love me in the small ways.

To my Beloved Bride: “I want you to know that today I love you period!”

What is a "Doat"?

What is a Doat?  And can you guess what the Doat says?

So 0.4 miles later.  Now you can see a Doat for yourself!

Wade laughing

Emily and I thought everyone would enjoy watching Wade laugh. So we took this video.

Whistling

What a great little whistler we have!

Lydda Grace-isms

This morning before breakfast....
LG: "Is Wade wild today?"
Me: "That has yet to be determined."
LG: "I think that means he's wild!"

She's probably right.

first friday parade

We got together with friends to eat dinner and then watch the parade!

Here are the kids excited about the parade!

Everyone is waiting expectantly......
Wade and Karis sharing some grapes.....
Lydda Grace loved the parade.... until it started! The police sirens and the band geared her up and then the tiger mascot sent her over the top! She took off running in the opposite direction. Later that night she thanked me profusely for saving her from the Clemson Tiger....

P.S. I do not like this new blogger thing! Sorry pictures are all over the place!

Wade-isms

Our kiddie table sits behind the couch.... Wade has discovered he can climb on one of the chairs, get on the table and then climb over the back of the couch.

Today at church I peeked in to check on him and he was running around shirtless. I found out that he had been sitting sweetly rocking in the rocking chair and next thing they knew he stood up and fell off, big knot on his head, busted chin and seriously bit lip! They had taken his shirt off to clean all the blood off. Apparently he hardly cried though and hasn't seem fazed by it!!

Lately Wade has taken to smiling... and then doing something he's not supposed to do. Case in point, while at the library... "Wade, come up here with mama please." He smiles, and runs in the other direction.... fast. Whew! I was not ready to start dealing with these issues of outright disobedience with him yet, guess we don't really have a choice though!
